This year's Bonnaroo festival was nuts! On top of the 100+ degree weather, the crowd was going bananas! NPR was at the festival and caught Japandroids as they braved the heat and destroyed the stage. Click the link below to check out a live recording of their whole set, which features the new single, "Younger Us."

Japandroids' new single, "Younger Us," has been out in the internet world for a whole 24 hours now and has already gained traction amongst various sites, including Best New Music on Pitchfork. They describe the song as "a welcome indication that this band has more to offer than the, fuzzed-out frenzy that we already know they do so well." Look out! Japandroids are at it again with their new 7" titled Younger Us. Younger Us is the 2nd installment in the 5-part 7" series being released throughout 2010 and features the title track on the A-side along with a cover of X's "Sex and Dying in High Society" on the B-side.
Just like the Art Czars 7", Younger Us will be on limited clear vinyl and includes an instant MP3 download. Art Czars sold out before street date, so I'd advise you all to pre-order a copy of Younger Us for yourself while you can. Click the link below to order!

I'm just kidding. I've never seen Japandroids use a cowbell before. But they ARE featured in the latest issue of Cowbell Magazine. Jess Harvel wrote a great article about the band's relentless touring schedule with a few quotes from guitarist/vocalist Brian King, such as this one - "We have a band motto - to play every show like it's the last one we're ever going to get to play." It's a lovely day for a new release my friends. And we've got a really great one for you today. Japandroids latest compilation, No Singles, is out now!
No Singles compiles the band's first two 5-song EPs (All Lies and Lullaby Death Jams) into one beautifully packaged release designed by the band (check em out above). The 180-gram white vinyl includes a 11"x11" 32-page booklet detailing Japandroids' early days, equipped with photos and old show fliers. And as always, the LP comes with a download code. It's also available on CD and MP3 formats.
No Singles has already received love from places like Exclaim, The Washington Post Express Night Out, Vancouver Sun, Drowned in Sound and others. Click the links below to check out the reviews and to pick up a copy for yourself!

We love Japandroids. Duh...We also love Indie Rock Reviews too! They wrote a great live review of Japandroids' show at Echoplex in Los Angeles. The show was part of F Yeah Fest...which is pretty much the best name for a festival ever. Check out the review and photos by Thirst'n Howl III by clicking the link below.

Sometimes it's cool to be a dirtbag. And if you're a journalist, it's even cooler! Japandroids got a chance to sit down with the website Dirtbag Journalism to talk about how the band got where they are today. Check out the article by clicking the link below.

Alright my friends, the day has arrived! Japandroids' latest 7" single Art Czars is out now on clear vinyl, equipped with digital download code! To celebrate the release, SPIN is exclusively streaming the B-side "Racer X," right now on their website! Now's your chance to go get a preview.
The single has done so well, that we're already sold out of them through mailorder! But don't worry, you can still buy the MP3s from our digital store or by catching the band at an upcoming show. They've still got a few left! Follow the links below to purchase Art Czars and to check out the feature on SPIN.
Art Czars is the first of a 5 part series that will be released throughout 2010. Since Japandroids tour so much, they haven't had a chance to get into the studio to record a follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut, Post-Nothing, so they're releasing these singles as a way to give back to all of you! Each single will have an original song taken from the Post-Nothing sessions along with a cover. The first single contains the title track on the A-side along with a cover of Big Black's "Racer X" on the B-side." Hide More

If you're going to be in the Champaign-Urbana area tomorrow (4/7) and want to catch an amazing show, head on over to the High Dive to watch Japandroids and Love Is All bring the rock to the midwesterners! Polyvinyl is based in Champaign, so you know we'll be there!
Smile Politely, a great online mag based in Champaign-Urbana, wrote a nice preview that highlights members of each band that don't usually get highlighted...the drummers! Click the link below to find out more about Japandroids' David Prowse and Love Is All's Markus Görsch.

Aside from a few road blocks (me getting food poisoning, Seth losing his ID, and Danielle and Chris getting screwed by a cabbie) the PV crew is having a great time at this year's SXSW. A few of our bands have already played a couple great parties, resulting in some fun photos. Check out one of Japandroids at the Death + Taxes day party, then click the link below to visit the PV Tumblr for more.
