STRFKR's friends in Chicago over at Liberum Pictures came up with this awesome video for STRFKR's "Quality Time," a track off their upcoming LP Reptilians, in stores March 8. While it's not an official STRFKR video, it does feature a time-stopping, party-starting, glammed-out...dude, who brings to life an otherwise lame party (with the help of STRFKR's "Quality Time"). Here's a nice little clip: Loney Dear's Emil Svanängen performs a solo rendition of his new song "Young Hearts" in this intimate video. On-screen animations highlight the track as it goes. The track is an early glimpse at the music that will make up Loney Dear's new full-length album due out later this year. Watch it above.
Casiokids have been nominated for a Spellman, which is the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy, for Best Music Video. The video is for the song "En Vill Hest" off of their recent compilation Topp stemning pa lokal bar. The video features glowing crystals, exploding cereal, radical dance moves, and lots of smoke. Like the Grammy's, Spellman nominations are determined by a jury. But unlike the Grammy's, Spellman winners are determined by popular vote. Pitchfork debuted an awesome new video for Deerhoof's "The Merry Barracks" off of Deerhoof vs. Evil. The video features levitating apparitions, exploding heads, gravity-defying debris, and heart-shaped atomic clouds. What else would you expect? Head on over to Pitchfork TV and check it out.

David Barnes, art-director for of Montreal, is releasing a brand new book of his works of art spanning his entire 20-something year career. The book, titled "What's Weird?", features over 100 painting and hundreds more sketches, doodles, and comments on the works. In preparation for the April 26th release, Barnes will create a teaser trailer per week--and this week's is hilarious. If you feel your rights have ever been infringed upon, check this out. "Candles on Open Water" appears on the band's upcoming album, Trump Harm, which comes out April 26th in Europe and June 7th in North America. For all you Europeans out there, 31Knots will be touring through Germany, Belgium, and France throughout the whole month of May so be sure and catch them!
