In its "Re-Review" section, Filter magazine takes a second look at previously reviewed albums and re-evaluates them once all the buzz has died down and the album can be viewed in a larger context. Japandroids' Post Nothing was the subject of the most recent of these sessions. It moved from an 82% up to 87%, and was declared a "landmark for its genre." Year-end favorites lists are rolling in left and right, and it's great to see the critical acclaim keeps coming for Japandroids. The band's "Younger Us," the A Side to the second release of their 7" series, was named Pitchfork's #42 best song of the year. The 7" series was the band's way of giving back to fans, so they could hear new material without having to wait until a proper album came out. Click the link below to see Pitchfork's top 50.

This year's CMJ Music Festival was one for the books! Even though NYC was pretty much flooded the whole time, festival goers still found time to attend multiple shows and parties going on throughout the city.
