In between shows with A Place to Bury Strangers, Japandroids' Brian King sat down with the Village Voice to discuss "chaffing against responsible adulthood and career jobs," how their singles series is a chance to showcase songs they were either too broke or too busy to record, and spill their guts about puking before Siren Music Festival.

2 down, 3 more to go! Japandroids' Younger Us 7" is out now on clear vinyl and can be purchased through our online store or at your favorite local record shop.
Younger Us is the 2nd installment of the 5-part 7" series devised by the band as a way to give something back to fans. Since the band has been touring for so long, they haven't had a chance to record a follow up to 2009's critically acclaimed Post-Nothing. These five 7"s each have a track from the Post-Nothing sessions along with a cover on the B-side. Younger Us (limited to 2500 copies) features the title track on the A-side along with a cover of X's "Sex and Dying in High Society" on the B-side.
If you want to try and score a copy for free, head on over to You Aint No Picasso where you can enter to win a copy of Younger Us along with a test pressing of Art Czars, the first 7" in the series. Otherwise, click the link below to purchase your copy.

I'm just kidding. I've never seen Japandroids use a cowbell before. But they ARE featured in the latest issue of Cowbell Magazine. Jess Harvel wrote a great article about the band's relentless touring schedule with a few quotes from guitarist/vocalist Brian King, such as this one - "We have a band motto - to play every show like it's the last one we're ever going to get to play." Click the link below to check out the article.
