As reported by Paste Magazine.com of Montreal and Polyvinyl Records are pleased to announce the groundbreaking
Skeletal Lamping Collection. The collection marks a first in album
packaging and design, with seven different packaging formats to choose from when
purchasing the forthcoming of Montreal album. Digital downloading has
brought about an unfortunate situation. From the consumer standpoint, with your
purchase, you only receive at best a thumbnail sized image of the album. From
the retail standpoint, sales are lost to a faceless server in the middle of
nowhere. The release of Skeletal Lamping is a paradigm shift.
The goal is to expand the perception of music packaging beyond traditional
flat, square artwork and to bring consumers back to record stores to get it.
The album exists in seven different packaging formats: CD, LP, T-shirt, tote
bag, button set, paper lantern, and wall decal set. Each item in the Skeletal
Lamping Collection includes both the digital album and its unique packaging of
the album art.
Pre-orders for Skeletal Lamping and the Collection will be available around Sept 1.

The great new movie BAGHEAD from The Duplass Brothers (Mark Duplass, leader of Volcano, I’m Still Excited!!) premieres throughout the country over the next few weeks. Catch it in NYC and LA July 25 and nationwide throughout August.
Here’s what the guys had to say about it:
"While the Duplass Brothers were shooting their last feature film The Puffy Chair, a crew member raised the question “what’s the scariest thing you can think of?” Someone immediately said “a guy with a bag on his head staring into your window.” Some agreed, but some thought it was downright ridiculous and, if anything, funny (but definitely not scary). Thus, BAGHEAD was born, an attempt to take the absurdly low-concept idea of a “guy with a bag on his head” and make a funny, truthful, endearing film that, maybe, just maybe, was a little bit scary, too."
