of Montreal are about to take the world by storm here in a few months with their newly announced fall tour with Janelle Monáe! This will be the first tour in support of the band's upcoming album, False Priest, and will see the band travel across the entire US from September 13th-26th and October 21st-November 5th with Monáe as direct support.

False Priest will be available on CD / 2xLP / MP3 with amazing artwork by David Barnes and Gemini Tactics (see above). As usual, we're hooking up those who pre-order with some free goodies. The Village Voice recently posted a great interview with Solange Knowles about her collaboration with of Montreal's Kevin Barnes. Knowles goes into detail about how comfortable the recording process is with Barnes and how well their styles mesh together. When asked about what it was like recording together, Knowles says, "I have nothing but amazing things to say about that experience. He's (Barnes) a musical genius."
