Owen is the solo project of Mike Kinsella who is well known for his musicianship in Cap’n Jazz, American Football, and Joan of Arc. Mike has also played in numerous other bands as a touring musician including a brief stint with Aloha.
Early Owen albums are known for a more “stripped down" sound and were mostly home recorded. More recent albums have been recorded in proper studios and feature more ornate arrangements and additional musicians. Albums
