It's a double exclamation point type of day!!

Legendary PV band Volcano, I'm Still Excited!! have announced a reissue of their 2002 EP with expanded artwork and that ever important bonus material. Carbon Copy was originally released on a small run of CDs eighteen years ago, but has long been out-of-print and virtually impossible to find both physically and digitally. Enter Polyvinyl...

We are the textbook definition of hyped!! (being in an enthusiastic or exhilarated state) to share the Deluxe Edition of one of our most beloved signing's debut release. Available now on all digital platforms, Carbon Copy (Deluxe Edition) is also up for a physical pre-order on Clear Dark Teal vinyl limited to 500, plus an exclusive t-shirt design by Jerrod Landon Porter.

Written and performed by the trio of Mark Duplass (vocals/keys), Byron Westbrook (guitar), and John Thomas Robinette III (drums), the touring VISE!! did behind Carbon Copy is what ultimately led them to play a show in Champaign, IL – a serendipitous night where they met the PV folks who would subsequently release the band's first (and sadly, only) full-length album, 2004's Volcano, I’m Still Excited!!

Though the group parted ways shortly after the album's release, Mark Duplass has stayed quite active writing, directing, and acting in a number of films and television series (way too many to list here). To mark the occasion, the band has also cracked opened the vaults to share a few songs from a 2003 performance (filmed by Jay Duplass) at the original Emo's in Austin, Texas – their last 'hometown' show before relocating to New York. Watch live clips of "New Brad," "In Green, and "2nd Gun."

Head over to Stereogum for an in-depth interview with Mark Duplass 'on facing his blog-rock past'. Complete the circle of volcanic fun with an Instagram Live chat featuring VISE!!'s Mark Duplass & Polyvinyl co-owner Matt Lunsford over on PV's IG at 3pm CT TODAY.
