HAPPY RELEASE DAY to Sonny & The Sunsets!

There are still a few copies of the "early bird" 180-gram light blue vinyl (limited to 500) available through our E-store and the 180-gram red vinyl which is available in stores today. You can purchase or stream at a plethora of digital outlets including Polyvinyl's Estore (CD, LP, Tape, MP3), music streaming websites, and of course you can go the extra mile and support a local record store.

They're going on a mini tour around the west coast with Colleen Green and wrapping it all up by throwing a record release party on 2/21 in their hometown of San Francisco at one of our favorite venues, The Chapel. Find all tour dates + ticket links at our TOUR PAGE.

A big soup of sonic ideas that wouldn’t normally be glued together, the songs on Talent Night at the Ashram make a large collage that mixes cinematic stories of fringe characters.

Initially envisioned as a film project, each song was originally a short film that, when strung together, formed a feature-length movie.

As Sonny Smith was writing the scripts and hiring the actors (even shooting a few of the clips), the scripts began to morph into songs.

Equal parts Fellini and Os Mutantes, Talent Night at the Ashram is cinematic in its storytelling and kaleidoscopic in its mixing and merging of musical genres.
