Even though Hoover was a short-lived band, they were a crucial part of of D.C.'s early '90s landscape and became a hit with a newer generation of punks.

In their short time as a band, they recorded one full length album, The Lurid Traversal of Route 7 with Geoff Turner at WGNS studios. Hoover are out for blood on this recording: the musical aggression is amped up high, the lyrics are clipped, and the vocals are screamed in usually very high pitches.

The group's secret weapon, though, is that the foursome could be quiet when they wanted to be -- even tender.

Hoover has re-united several times over the years and band members went on to play in Radio Flyer, June of 44, Regulator Watts, and The Boom, among others.
