Anamanaguchi today released “Rage (Kitchen Sink)”, the band’s third single previewing their forthcoming album, Anyway, due out August 8th. Equal parts punk urgency and raw digital noise, the anthemic track–out now alongside a video directed by Lucy Gan and animated by AOK – channels the spirit of The Clash to face a collapsing world with somber clarity.
The band confronts the lonely rage of digital boredom, where bonds of common anger can become a deceptive and powerful substitute for real friendship.
“‘Rage’ is a statement of where we’re at as a band, as people in the world. It’s the heart of the album for us, and we’re happy to finally share it with you...The word injustice barely scratches the surface of the worldwide dehumanization we have seen unfold the past few years, and ‘Rage’ was our way of exploring those feelings in a song.”
Anyway is available for pre-order now on vinyl, CD, & tape.
