In 2011, Mike Kinsella partnered with Chicago videographer Craig Shimala to create a live video series to accompany Owen's album, Ghost Town. Fast forward almost exactly nine years and here we all are re-visiting the same video concept in the new era of COVID-19. 

Back in May at the beginning of quarantine, we introduced what would become The Avalanche Live Series with a video for track 1's "A New Muse," filmed on the ledge of the 103rd floor of Chicago's famous Skydeck at the Willis Tower. Today, we continue with video sessions for album tracks 2 & 3 – "Dead For Days," shot in the middle of a midday on Michigan Avenue and "On With The Show" live from Open House Contemporary. 

"Craig and I started shooting these pretty early on during quarantine so we tried to find relatively isolated places to shoot that were also aesthetically pleasing. As all the touring for the new album was canceled, this was quite literally the first time any of these songs were played live (outside of my living room) since the album was finished." - MK
