In early 2011, Rocky Votolato (Barsuk) teamed up with matt pond PA for a short tour that included a stop at The Onion offices to jointly contribute a song to the exclusive A.V. Club Undercover series.

Based on the success of the tour and the spirit of collaboration that formed between Rocky and Matt Pond, the pair began work co-writing songs for Rocky's forthcoming album, recording new tracks for a split 7" and together routing a 40+ show North American tour set to take place this fall.

This split 7" represents the uniting of two of this generation's most prolific and respected songwriters — the sum of a decade's worth of influential recordings and non-stop touring.
