Today, New Orleans pop duo, Generationals, the long-running musical partnership of Ted Joyner & Grant Widmer, share their newest single "Carried Away"—the band's first studio recording since the release of their 2023 album Heatherhead.

Blending the duo’s signature electronic production with their knack for instantly memorable hooks, “Carried Away” is a bright, propulsive return that finds Generationals doing what they do best: crafting sophisticated pop songs with immediate, undeniable appeal. All the familiar hallmarks of Generationals' singular sound are here—the polyphonic swirl of a vintage Yamaha DX7, the syncopated march of live drums accented with electronic hi-hats, and buoyant synth bass that modulates within a mesmerizing refrain coupled with tender-hearted harmonies.

Today’s offering is a welcomed return from the beloved duo.
